Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
