The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas rise, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
