The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
