Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 (God) said: "You have the respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
