Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
