The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and serried acacias, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit abundant. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And raised couches. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 And made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
