Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
