The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. THESE ARE MESSAGES of the Qur'an - a divine writ clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter (resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). 3 Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray. 4 They are those who will suffer the worst chastisement in this life, and will be the greatest losers in the life to come. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 (Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves. 7 So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” 8 O Musa! verily it is I, Allah, the Mighty the Wise! 9 “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” 10 except he who has done evil, then, after evil, has changed into good. I am the Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient." 12 But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, 13 And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! 14
