'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they may understand me. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 to support me. 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
