Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
