T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
