The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
