Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
