Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
