▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
