Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
