The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour; 1 and the moon as it reflects the sun! 2 By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory; 3 and by the night as it envelopes the sun; 4 Consider the sky and its wondrous make, 5 and by the earth and by Him Who stretched it out; 6 by the soul and how He formed it, 7 and inspired it with its sin and its piety, 8 Surely blissful is he who hath cleansed it, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression, 11 Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety). 12 And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink." 13 But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground). 14 He does not fear the consequence. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
