Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Do you not understand? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 They say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
