Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
