The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the breath of morning 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
