Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
