The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
