Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
