Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extending columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
