The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
