Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
