Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
