The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
