Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
