The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
