And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
