▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
