[AND the tribe of] Thamud gave the lie to [one of God's] message-hearers 141 Their brother Salih said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 142 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 143 So fear Allah and obey me. 144 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 145 Will you be left secure in this here, 146 amidst gardens and fountains, 147 farms, and palm-trees in thick groves, 148 Will you still skilfully hew houses out of the mountains? 149 Have fear of God and obey me. 150 And obey not the command of the extravagant. 151 "Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)." 152 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 153 You are but a human like ourselves. Produce for us a sign, if you are of the truthful' 154 He said: yonder is a she-camel; to her a drink, and to you a drink, each on a day known. 155 so do her no harm, or the punishment of an awful day will befall you." 156 But they cruelly slaughtered her - and then they had cause to regret it: 157 And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 158 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
