The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
