Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
