Said the chieftains of Firaun’s people, “He is really an expert magician.” 109 "He wants to get you out of your land, so what do you advise?" 110 They answered: "Let him and his brother wait awhile, and send unto all cities heralds 111 to summon every skilful magician to your presence.' 112 And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors. 113 'Yes' he answered, 'and you will be among those near' 114 They said: "O Moses! wilt thou throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?" 115 'Throw' he replied. And when they threw, they bewitched the people's eyes and terrified them, and produced great sorcery. 116 And We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Throw your stick," and behold! It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed. 117 ۞ So the truth was established, and what they did became null. 118 So they were vanquished there, and they turned about, humbled. 119 And the magicians flung themselves prostrate. 120 They said: we believe in the Lord of the worlds. 121 "The Lord of Moses and Aaron." 122 Said Pharaoh, 'You have believed in Him before I gave you leave. Surely this is a device you have devised in the city that you may expel its people from it. Now you shall know! 123 "Be sure I will cut off your hands and your feet on apposite sides, and I will cause you all to die on the cross." 124 They said: "Verily, we are returning to our Lord. 125 "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)! 126

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
