So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 The people of the town came along, revelling, 67 Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame, 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?' 70 [Lout (Lot)] said: "These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so)." 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
