The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 By the angels driving away. 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
