Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
