The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
