When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 Said he: "Even if I should bring about before thee something that clearly shows the truth?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
