(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
