Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
