The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
