Also, remember Our worshiper Job. He called out to his Lord, (saying): 'satan has afflicted me with harm and pain' 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 Everlasting Gardens all its gates are open for them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 And other similar torments. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
