I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 running away from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
