The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
