It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. 11 He harnessed the day and night for you, as also the sun, the moon and the stars, by His command. In this are signs for men who understand. 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. 19 And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
