Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
