He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 To him you give attention. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and in awe [of God] 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted and purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And produce therein corn, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
